FAQ
I. Are the travel expenses included in your packages or covered additionally?
Travel up to 50 miles from Norwich is included. Anything further afield will be built into your quote. I'm happy to join wedding parties on flights and in accommodation abroad
II. What if we want something more extreme for our wedding (hiking, diving, etc)?
I love an adventure! Let me know the details and we can talk logistics.
III. We want to include our dog into the ceremony and photos, is that okay?
Who am I to say the children can't be involved? Bring all the pets! I'm mad about animals, have two cats myself. They're hilarious!
IV. How long does it take to recieve the photos after the event and how will those be delivered?
During peak season, expect to be waiting around 4 weeks. Off-season around 1-2 weeks. I always endeavour to deliver images in a timely manner. Your images will be delivered via a private password protected gallery on my website that you and your guests can view, save favourites and order professional prints from. It comes with a short tutorial, and is very simple to use.
V. Do we need a wedding officiant for our elopement? If yes, can you recommend one?
Yes, you do. Unless you have the marriage officiated at a registry office first, then have a family member or friend perform any special union speeches at your chosen location. Details are readily available online for all regions.
VI. Do we get to feed into the style of the images and production of our wedding
There are a lot of trends around filters and styles. I do not recommend or subscribe to them personally. Your images will be colour graded professionally in a timeless style, preserving their longevity for decades to come.
VII. Can we have the raw images after the shoot?
RAW files are the digital equivalent of film negatives — they’re the starting point, not the finished photograph. They require specialised software, colour work, and technical processing to bring them to life in the way you see across my portfolio. Part of the service you’re investing in is that professional editing and consistency, so I deliver fully polished images rather than unfinished files. You can trust that everything worth keeping will be beautifully edited and included in your final gallery.
VIII. We have some ideas for images we would like to recreate that we've seen, can you do this for us?
To a degree, send me the images. And we'll work together to create our own special version of them. We have to be mindful of the copyright of the original photographer and not to infringe on that. I respect my distant colleagues work and right to preserve their intellectual property. But there's nothing wrong with an homage!
IX Do you travel abroad?
I will go (almost) anywhere in the world! I'm happy to travel as a part of the wedding party, and even stay in your accommodation. I require my own private space, and return travel immediately after the event and any extras have been wrapped.
X how many photos will we receive?
Every wedding is different, but you can expect a generous gallery of fully edited images that tell the complete story of your day.
XI do you bring backup equipment?
Yes — I always carry professional backup cameras, lenses, and cards to ensure your day is captured safely.
XII What happens if the weather is bad?
I’m experienced in shooting in all conditions and always have a plan for beautiful images, rain or shine. This can be dependent on your venue, but rest assured I will always do my very best to deliver. Sometimes a moody day makes for the most atmospheric and stunning images. Remember the weather doesn't have to put a dampener on your day.
XIII Do you help with posing or is it all candid?
I work naturally and unobtrusively, but for posed images I’ll guide you gently when needed so you feel relaxed and look your best.
XIV How do we book and what’s the payment schedule?
A signed contract and deposit secure your date. The remaining balance is due shortly before the big day.
XV What happens if you’re ill or there’s an emergency?
In the unlikely event I’m unable to attend, I have trusted professional colleagues who can step in, and I handle all arrangements.
XVI Do you offer albums or prints?
Yes — you can order professional prints and stunning bespoke albums directly from your gallery. They are processed by my trusted photographic lab right here in the UK and delivered straight to your door.
XVII Why is event photography at a premium price?
Wedding and any photography is far more than showing up with a camera for a few hours. You’re investing in years of experience, creative vision, technical skill, and the ability to work under pressure while capturing moments that can’t be repeated. Professional equipment alone costs many thousands of pounds, and that’s before factoring in insurance, editing time, software, computing hardware, subscriptions, websites, advertising and backups, travel, and the care that goes into delivering a polished, timeless gallery.
What you’re really paying for is peace of mind — knowing your day is documented beautifully, safely, and with the level of artistry and reliability it deserves.
